Arranging the itemIf you want to create the wall as focal point, you should know how to arrange the item surrounding the wall. For example, you want to highlight an artwork on the wall, so you should place that artwork on the middle of the wall and put the lesser insignificant items to the sides of the artwork.

In kitchen peninsula, you put the kitchen counters in a U-shape around the kitchen. This is perfect, of course, if your kitchen is small (remember that article on small kitchen I have written from before? we can apply this style of kitchen to your small kitchen if you want to). In small kitchen, putting a kitchen island is not very effective because the counters in a kitchen island style will take a lot of space. Although kitchen peninsula is a little bit dated (it is a style from the 70’s just so you know), you can still apply for this style should the situation arise.

The next step in creating a good small kitchen is to utilise the walls and the kitchen styling. Go buy shelves in where you can store your kitchen stuffs in. My mother have a small kitchen in our house, and she put shelves on top of the stove and the counters. With those shelves, she does not have to think about where she should put her spices on after she used them in cooking. She just have to put the spices container back in the shelves where they belong. Simple right? Last, but not least, you can always style your kitchen so that it can fit all of your multipurpose appliances. Making the appliances sat across each other is an idea that you can use.

Measure the spaceMeasuring the space is the most basic tips for decorating the room. You cannot buy the furniture if you haven’t measured the room’s space. Don’t forget to bring the measurement chart when you go shopping for dining table. Please keep this in mind that the space between table and the walls should be at least 36 inches wide when you put the table in the middle of the dining room. The reason for the space is to accommodate people getting up and pushing the chairs comfortably from the table. It is much better if you can make the between-space 42 to 50 inches wide. With this in mind, you can measure how big your dining table should be and pick the right one.
