Are you in store for some small flat dining room ideas? When I am talking about a small flat dining room, I am not talking about the shape of the dining room itself. Flat in here means apartment (British English for the win), not ‘not shapely’. If you think that I am going to write about a ‘not shapely’ dining room, then you can steer clear from this article because this article will not do much for you. If you are trying to create a small kitchen in your flat, though, then you have come to the right place because I am here to help you.

The only thing that I think will be beneficial by not having a dining room is that you will safe space and you utilize that space, turn it perhaps into something that is not as space eating as a dining room. That is the only thing I can think of, and I myself would not switch a dining room for any other kind of room. In the end, having a dining room or not is a matter of choice; one that I will not force my decision upon. Though you will save space by not having one, you can earn a lot more by actually having one.

If we take the words apart, we will have the word kitchen and peninsula. Kitchen is obvious, but the ‘peninsula’ part may still confuse some people. Peninsula in general term is a land that projects out from the water. Lighthouse resembles a peninsula, though only if they were built in the middle of the sea. If you combine the two meaning, you will have a kitchen that projects out of the sea. It does not make feel if you take the word literarily, but connotatively speaking, the term is not hard to make sense of.

Provide additional and attracting lighting to make a small bathroom looks bigger and brighter. You may have wall sconces for a better option of additional light, although you can also fall for spotlights and skylights. Since decorating a small bathroom is a little bit tricky, you need to be careful. It’s necessary not to adopt any counter space along with additional lighting as you only make the room look cluttered. Choose a big, bold mirror to reflect the light and make your small bathroom looks bigger. Observe the furniture and accessories you have in the room and choose which of them are needless and useless. Remove them to give some space to a smaller bathroom.

Put accent on the wall such as trimmed tile between the other tiles will give nice effect on the bathroom. It makes the room more interesting without ripping your budget. Tile rug should also be your consideration since floor gives huge impact on the bathroom. Rather than putting expensive natural stone or mosaic here and there, you can go with tile rug. You just need a few square feet to make this area really eye catching. The other part you can play with is the hardware. Pulls and knobs will be great place to start the hardware renovation. Vintage works best on luxury look in the bathroom.

Travertine is one of limestone kinds. It has natural patterns that will be able to bring warmness. Besides it is useful for the design, it is also great for bathroom decoration. Belgian light blue stone will be great for your bathroom floor. It has gray or black color with tan and white natural marks. If you need any natural stone to make contrast in your bathroom, this is the great option. It is not easily scratched and olive oil will make the stone looks always new.
